My girls love pizza and who doesn’t. I’m so happy to have them making their own pizzas for lunch some days. Everyone loves a little cheat method when cooking to speed things up or make life easier and this is where ready made pizza dough comes in. I promise you won’t believe how much better it tastes when you roll it out yourself and add your own toppings. Try it you’ll be converted and it takes just minutes. Definitely one to make with the kids.
Ingredients
1 ready roll pizza dough
1 medium ball of mozzarella – I use mini mozzarella’s with pesto but you can use what you prefer.
Tomato pasta sauce – 1 cup
2 slices prosciutto – ripped into pieces
Salt and cracked black pepper to season
A few basil leaves to adorn once out the oven
Method
Pre heat oven to 200c / 180c fan
Remove pizza dough from fridge 10-15 mins before rolling.
Roll out the dough on a floury surface.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and add your dough on top.
Spoon over your pasta sauce, slice up your mozzarella or better still buy grated or mini mozzarella’s and scatter all over the pizza. Now add your Prosciutto pieces, season with salt and cracked black pepper and put in the oven for around 15-20 minutes or according to the dough cooking time.
Remove from oven, scatter over your fresh basil leaves and devour.
