We eat salmon often in our house as it’s not only healthy but quick and simple to cook. I love to experiment with different saucy marinades and this one is a delight. This teriyaki salmon is full of delicious asian flavour and features my new found favourite ingredient ketjap manis. I”m becoming borderline obsessed. You’ll love this served with fluffy, white rice and crunchy spring onions.
Serves 2
Ingredients
2 salmon fillets
Drizzle of sesame oil
1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
1 table spoon ketjap manis
1 teaspoon honey
1 clove garlic – minced
1 2cm grating of ginger
Method
Pre heat your oven to 190C / 170C fan
Place your salmon on a baking sheet and make a little tinfoil parcel around it. Drizzle the salmon with your sesame oil and rub in.
In a separate small mixing bowl or cup mix up your ingredients and pour all over your salmon.
Bake in the oven on the middle shelf for approximately 12 minutes. Half way through cooking time and at the end spoon over the delicious marinade so it soaks into the salmon infusing it with flavour.
Serve with rice and chopped spring onion.
